I’m a proud father of two and husband to Michelle. Our family lives on an acreage just outside of Sherwood Park, where we share our space with a variety of animals. I love coaching my kids in hockey, ringette, and golf—and when I’m not busy with the acreage or coaching, I enjoy lacing up my own skates or hitting the golf course. My greatest triumph is the community we've built around the passions we share as a family.

One of my favourite things is sitting down with someone — whether it's a business owner, a young professional, or someone preparing for retirement and hearing their story. I love discovering what drives people and helping them navigate the Canadian financial system. Educating others and seeing them succeed is what fuels me.

I actively contribute to community initiatives and decisions that will open paths for our next generation, which includes my role as the Chairman of the Board of Governors for Concordia University, a term that extends through 2017.  I believe that providing opportunity for our next generation is one of the most important legacies we can leave behind. 

I believe life is about learning, exploring and discovering ourselves, so I try to turn challenges into experiences I can learn from.  Whether I’m hiking in the mountains and persevering through a tough climb to the top, or knowing when and how best to invest in a bad stock market.  Sometimes tackling a challenge and learning from it is as simple as keeping one foot in front of the other and keeping your eyes open to the possibilities.

I strive to keep learning, whether it be my education in marketing or refining my skills as a painter (I've even sold a few!). It keeps me on the path of trying to always be better than I was the day before.

I am driven by excellence, creativity and passion for the arts. One of my creative works rewarded me with a shopping spree weekend and was published in a fashion magazine across Canada.

I find great fulfillment in helping people achieve their financial goals by providing them with personalized advice and practical tools that empower them to succeed. 

I was born and raised in a small town in Alberta, where I developed a love for staying active through hockey and golf.  I'm also passionate about travel - so far, I've explored 30 countries, with many more on my list.
